Marygrove Consulting Clients Awarded Five Hispanic-Serving Institutions Grants

In 2022, 78 new grants were awarded in the Department of Education’s Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions Program. Marygrove Consulting, working with our higher education clients, wrote five of those winning grants:

  • Concordia University Irvine (CA)
  • Dominican University of California (San Rafael, CA)
  • Palo Verde Community College (Blythe, CA)
  • Arizona Christian University (Glendale, AZ)
  • Ranger Community College (Ranger, TX)

All the grants are for five years and will allow the colleges and universities to increase services for their students through the construction of academic success centers, hiring academic success coaches and expanding tutoring and mentoring.  “The overall goal is to increase enrollment of Hispanic and low-income students and improve retention and graduation rates at the institutions” said Dr. Denise Mallett, partner at Marygrove Consulting.  “The programs made possible by these funds will have a significant impact on the lives of so many students,” added Dr. Mallett.
